K. B. Dixon is the author of seven novels and one of the Northwest's finest photographers.  As a long time observer and participant in the Northwest art scene, here is Dixon's artist statement about the publication of his new book, "Town & Country: Excerpts From An Oregon Journal", and the exhibition of his 28 photographs at our gallery:

"The images included in this exhibition are, as the title suggests, excerpted from a larger ongoing project—from what is basically a photographic journal, a catalogue of unique visual responses, an archive that serves in its own idiosyncratic way as a species of memoir.
My hope has been, as always, to document—to capture and to preserve for myself and others a transient moment of aesthetic pleasure, a sense of the subject, a resonating mix of common and singular experience."

Dixon's previous show at our gallery in February 2016 was the well received portrait exhibition, Face to Face: 32 Oregon Artists.

The Town & Country show includes a total of 28 original black and white 8" x 12" silver gelatin photographic prints, 15 of horizontal orientation and 13 vertical. The limited edition prints are available framed or unframed. An impressive large-format catalog accompanies the show and is available for $35.

Show Opening Reception: Saturday, February 4, 1:30-3:00pm
