Oregon native Dennis Cunningham is a highly regarded artist who has worked for more than 3 decades in Portland. He has been a tireless advocate for the block print, specifically woodblock and linocut, creating original prints in a highly individual, easily recognizable style that portrays Oregon's landscape and rivers, history, flora and fauna; and witty, often poetic portrayals of fish and fishing. Cunningham has long been an influential instructor of printmaking, first at the Museum Art School (now PNCA), and for decades at Marylhurst University. His work is well represented in the permanent collections of the Portland Art Museum and Hallie Ford Museum of Art, along with many other distinguished public and private collections. Currently, Dennis is facing more challenging times, due to the closure of Marylhurst University, and some very, very severe health issues.  We hope you will join us in helping a friend in art, who has given so much to others. Our benefit show will offer more than 80 prints for consideration.
